The management of Abia State Polytechnic (ABIAPOLY) has has announced applications into its National Diploma Part-Time and National Diploma Evening Programmes for the 2017/2018 academic session.

GENERAL MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR ND PROGRAMMES

  • Candidates with one or two of the following certificates may be considered for admission into the National Diploma Programme.
  • SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O Level’TC 11 with credit level passes in five subjects relevant to the programme obtained at no more than two sittings.
  • The National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with pass in a trade plus four relevant academic subjects
  • Holders of the Advanced National Technical Certificte (ANTC) may be given enhanced placement in the ND programme provided they have also met the minimum entry requirement into the ND programmes and obtain good grades in the ANTC Examination.
  • Five credits in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of the NBTE recognized preliminary ND programme offered in a polytechnic or similar Post-Secondary Technical Institution.
  • A pass in the final examination of the pre-science and technology of the polytechnic.
  • Application for the technology programmes.
  • All candidates applying for science and technology programmes must posses credit level passes in mathematics and English language(Not Literature in English)
  • Applicants for Business and Management Programmes
  • Candidates should have credit passes in English Language and Mathematics.

The management of Imo State Polytechnic (IMOPOLY) has released the 1st batch list of candidates admitted into its HND programme for the 2017/2018 academic session.

To complete the admission process, we expect you to show evidence of having obtained your ND certificate, not Statement of Result.

Then, proceed to the School’s Microfinance Bank and pay the necessary pre-admission and acceptance fees.

This is to inform you that the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Remedial Studies application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out.

Catchment Area
The School being established by the Northern State Governments is open to all interested applicants from the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Entry Requirements
  • Candidates aspiring to gain admission in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria via SBRS’s Remedial programme must:
  • Successfully sit and pass the pre-admission test examined by SBRS at Funtua.
  • Have obtained at least three (3) credits and two (2) pass in English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Physics in WAEC and or NECO.
  • The remedial section of the school also organizes
  • JAMB CLINIC
  • classes for all students and SPECIAL classes for students with deficiencies in their O-Levels. 
  • The Remedial programme generally last for Nine (9) months divided into two semesters. During this period, students are exposed to intensive lectures from Mondays to Thursdays every week and a weekly C.A. test on Fridays.
GROUPS & SUBJECT COMBINATIONS
All successfully admitted and registered students are placed into one of the four (4) academic groups:- RS1, RS2, RS3 or RS4. Each student is given a group by considering his/her intended feature carrier and the O-Level credits obtained. Courses in each group are:
  • RS1:- Biology, Chemistry and Geography 
  • RS2:- Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • RS3:- Biology, Geography and Physics
  • RS4:- Chemistry, Geography and Physics
Please Note: English Language and General Mathematics are compulsory for all students apart from the subject combinations they are expected to offer in their various groups.

Entry Requirements Into The University After Completion Of The Programme
  • Admission in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria is automatic provided a student successfully completes the remedial programme as follows:
  • Obtained a minimum of 2.0 CGPA from 3 subjects undertook at the school.
  • Choose ABU Zaria as first choice in JAMB and has also obtained the required JAMB scores (which is generally determined by JAMB) and
  • Remedied all necessary O-Level deficiencies.
Method Of Application
  • Interested applicants are to go to any of the following designated Banks nationwide to obtain an “E-Transaction Pin” in order to apply.
  • You are to pay the sum of N 5, 000 at any of the following Banks viz: ABU Micro Finance Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank, UBA Bank and Zenith Bank for your “E - Transaction Pin” which the Bank will generate and print for you.
  • Visit:www.sbrsabu.org website and click on the “Application” link from the Menu.
  • A pop up dialogue box will open for you, requesting your “Teller Number” and “E-Transaction Pin” for validation.
  • Complete the form as required. 
  • Note: Uploading your picture (120px x 120px and 40kb) is required.
  • After completing the form, a print preview page will be displayed for you to print. Simply click on the “Print” button to print your form. Print at least 2 copies for your perusal.
  • You are to print your “Pre-Entrance Exam Card” in two (2) copies from the website also.

2017/2018 ABU Basic (IJMB) Programme Admission Form Out
2017/2018 ABU Basic (IJMB) Programme Admission Form Out
The management of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria has announced admission into its Basic (IJMB) programme for the 2017/2018 academic session.

The Basic (IJMB) programme is an Advance Level Programme intended for candidates aspiring to again admission into any Nigerian University through Direct Entry (DE). The programme last for twelve (12) months divided into two semesters. During this period, students are exposed to intensive lectures from Mondays to Thursdays every week and a weekly C.A. test on Fridays. 

The school's highly equipped laboratories avail the students the opportunity of undertaking all the practical required for IJMB programme. 

Compulsory field trip/work are also organised for Geography and Biology students. To ensure quality, internal assessment mechanisms such as daily record of lecture attendance is kept.

Promotional and mock examinations are also administered. Only students that perform above average in these assessments/ examinations (including the weekly CAs) will be allowed to register for the final IJMB examinations which are usually taken in February yearly.


Entry Requirements Into Basic (IJMB) Programme

  • Candidates aspiring to be admitted into the Basic (IJMB) programme:
  • Must have sat and passed the pre-admission test examined by the School.
  • Must obtain a minimum of five (5) O/L credits from Ordinary Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Physics.
  • Must have successful passed through the BIO DATA and Academic screening processes.

Catchment Area

  • The programme is specifically designed for interested candidates from the 19 Northern States including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
  • SUBJECT / COURSES TAUGHT
  • The School of Basic and Remedial Studies Funtua, is science based. Thus the subjects offered in the Basic programme are purely Advance Level science subjects viz: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics. 

Groupings And Subject Combinations
Admitted students are placed into various groups depending on the proposed future carrier and their O/L credits. The groups and respective subject combinations per group are:

  • BS1: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • BS2: Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics
  • BS3: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • BS4: Chemistry, Geography and Physics
  • BS5: Mathematics, Geography and Physics

Minimum Requirements For Admission into ABU Zaria After Completion of Programme

  • Student must have obtained a minimum of 6 points in their final exams (this is subject to change when necessary by NUC).
  • must have purchased Direct Entry (DE) form and have chosen ABU Zaria as their first choice.
  • Must have remedied all deficiencies (if any)
  • All SBRS IJMB students, as a privilege, are automatically given admission into ABU Zaria provided they satisfy the afore-listed conditions.

  • Interested applicants are to go to any of the following designated Banks nationwide to obtain an “E-Transaction Pin” in order to apply.
  • You are to pay the sum of N 5, 000 at any of the following Banks viz: ABU Micro Finance Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank, UBA Bank and Zenith Bank for your “E - Transaction Pin” which the Bank will generate and print for you.
  • Visit:www.sbrsabu.org website and click on the “Application” link from the Menu.
  • A pop up dialogue box will open for you, requesting your “Teller Number” and “E-Transaction Pin” for validation.
  • Complete the form as required. 
  • Please Note: Uploading your picture (120px x 120px and 40kb) is required.
  • After completing the form, a print preview page will be displayed for you to print. Simply click on the “Print” button to print your form. Print at least 2 copies for your perusal.
  • You are to print your “Pre-Entrance Exam Card” in two (2) copies from the website also.
  • You may wish to “reprint” or “edit” your submitted form, by visiting the “Application” link again.
